The ZXY EI28-600:600 is a 1:1 audio isolation transformer built with a high-permeability permalloy laminated core. 3. Advantages

Permalloy is a high-permeability nickel-iron alloy, and it is precisely this material that keeps the transformer linear across the entire audio band. The laminated core efficiently concentrates magnetic flux, keeping insertion loss and harmonic distortion low at both ends of the spectrum, so program material retains a natural tonality.

Because the primary and secondary are galvanically isolated, the transformer breaks the ground path between two devices. Hum, buzz, and common-mode interference are blocked at the transformer and never enter the signal chain, while the source and load are also protected from DC bias and ground potential differences.
