Project Background
The client is a consumer audio brand looking to add a desktop audio isolator to their existing product line. Lacking in-house hardware design and manufacturing capabilities, they required one-stop OEM support covering everything from structure and circuitry to packaging.
Technical Challenges
- Cost reduction without compromising sound quality, with a hard constraint on retail pricing;
- Exterior design needed to match brand identity, including custom silkscreen printing and color box packaging;
- Full-unit testing required for plug/unplug cycles, drop tests, and continuous power-on aging tests;
- The first batch of 3,000 units had to be delivered within 6 weeks.
Our Solution
Built around our in-house stereo isolation transformer, paired with proven circuitry and enclosure solutions:
- Isolation transformer featuring a permalloy magnetic core, with dual 3.5mm and RCA input/output compatibility;
- Aluminum alloy enclosure with custom silkscreen printing, with color box packaging printing and prototyping completed in-house;
- 100% power-on testing for every unit plus 24-hour aging, with individual listening checks before shipment;
- Parallel execution of enclosure prototyping and PCB production to compress the overall lead time.
Delivery Results
- First batch of 3,000 units delivered within 6 weeks, enabling the client to launch on schedule;
- Return rate below 0.3% for the first batch, with no batch-level sound quality complaints;
- Two follow-up orders placed, with an additional 4-channel model introduced;
- Packaging and silkscreen designs remain in use to this day.
